New Zealand – Sensational Cycle Tour
₹240000 per person
New Zealand is an ideal biking destination with spectacular scenery, friendly locals, minimal traffic and offers unparalleled variety.
This tour takes you across both the North Islands & South Island. In case you are seeking a sense of open-air paradise, look no further than our 17-day guided cycling tour through the South and North Islands of New Zealand. Be prepared for sensory overload as you encounter a scenic, cultural and adventure wonderland “down under”.
New Zealand is split into two main islands, the North Island and the South Island. The North Island is officially named Te Ika-a-Māui and has an area of 113,729 km² (43,911 sq mi), making it the world’s 14th-largest island. It is also the world’s 28th-most-populous island and the most populous island in Polynesia with a population of 3,922,000 (June 2022), accounting for approximately 77% of the total residents of New Zealand. The South Island is officially named Te Waipounamu and has an area of 150,437 km² (58,084 sq mi), making it the world’s 12th-largest island.
In this particular tour when we are at the south New Zealand, you get to enjoy the rugged snowy alps, dense native bush and plains. After a ferry crossing through the beautiful Marlborough Sounds, explore the north New Zealand, with its busy cities, green pastures, mud pools and volcanoes.
We will be beginning our cycling tour at Christchurch and then ride across Twizel, Moeraki, Queenstown, Wanaka, Fox Glacier, Hokitika, Punakaiki, Picton, Wellington, Whanganui, Whakapapa (Tongariro National Park), Rotorua, Te Aroha and finish the tour at Auckland.
You’ll need to be moderately fit to cycle distances anywhere between 40 KM to 65 KM daily. In total 10 days are cycling day and 7 days are rest days. There’s 740 km total biking, but you’re welcome to ride in the support vehicle whenever you wish.
